Wildlife Habitat Map

We have conducted hundreds of wildlife studies in Colorado and the western United States.  We have prepared numerous habitat assessments and clearance surveys for federally listed threatened and endangered species as well as state-listed sensitive species.  We have considerable experience with the Section 7 Consultation process and the preparation of Environmental Assessments, Biological Assessments, and Biological Evaluations for a diversity of project types.

  Mitigation & Management Plans

Mitigation planning for a bald eagle nest

We are skilled at evaluating the effects of proposed developments on wildlife populations, and in the preparation and implementation of mitigation and management plans.  These plans are often critical to our clients receiving project approval in areas with important wildlife habitat.  In particular, many of these plans have focused on impacts to big game species, prairie dogs, and raptors.

Fisheries Enhancement Plan

We provide fisheries inventories and assessments as well as macroinvertebrate surveys,  which are important indicators of water quality.  In addition, we conduct water quality sampling studies to directly measure potential impacts to fish and their habitat.  Our associates have considerable experience with the design and implementation of fisheries enhancements and have successfully employed these methods at many sites in Colorado and the western United States.  For more information on fisheries enhancements, please refer to our Stream Restoration page.
